One of the easiest ways for your children to learn is by playing with age-appropriate toys that encourage early education in several key areas of development.

Given the chance, a kid can train their brain through fun, interactive play. Whether it's through independent or cooperative play, there are toy sets designed to amplify early education skills.

One fantastic offering our twins have recently become obsessed with—and so have we, as parents who have observed how much they're learning while playing and having fun—is the magnetic racecar track building blocks set by PicassoTiles.

The interactive set is scalable, so, as long as you have enough pieces on-hand, your kids can create whatever they set their mind to...like constructing a tower that literally goes all the way up to the ceiling, which our twins ask for and think is a reasonable request, and it makes me happy because that means they think anything is possible.

And speaking of minds, this constructable car set will help expand those of your little ones as they engineer designs using the laws of physics and the power of magnets.

Building structures while building brains

While your little architects are building their multi-layer magnetic masterpieces, they're also spending some quality time expanding important early education skills such as hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, team-building, creative thinking, and creative problem-solving.

These tiles also give parents and caregivers an opportunity to help their children learn about color recognition, shape and item recognition, magnetic polarities, architectural design, and structural engineering.

Rated for ages three and up, these BPA-free blocks have round corners and a strong, durable quick-connect magnetic connection, so your toddlers can easily build whatever comes to mind without the frustration of it falling apart mid-build.

This means there are endless design possibilities, and they're only limited by their imaginations, how many pieces they have, or by how much time they have before their sibling comes tearing into the room and helps the design meet its demise in record-time.

But, when that happens, you can pivot to teach your twins how to embrace their problem-solving skills and reimagine their design as they rebuild it to be bigger and better.

This is also an opportunity to encourage your children to learn about team-building by working together through cooperative play, as the tornado-toddler can slow down and lend a hand in the rebuilding process.

Art meets STEM

You've likely heard of STEM learning, which incorporates elements from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to get inquisitive minds utterly enthralled with learning in an ever-changing environment.

PicassoTiles blocks take STEM learning one step further by adding artistic creativity into the mix.

The set has a variety of unique tile shapes (curves, squares, triangles, slopes, etc.) in a smattering of bright colors.

While 150 pieces might initially sound like a scary thing to parents whose houses are already overrun by all the earthly possessions their earth-angels have accumulated, it's actually a really good thing this set isn't any smaller.

There are so many pieces (including street sign posts, so they can recreate the roadways they see in their everyday travels with their parents) that your twins will be able to build to their hearts' content simultaneously without fighting over who gets which block.

They also won't be fighting over cars because this set comes with four different-colored battery-operated racecars, which means each twin can have two cars to test their interactive and versatile racetracks with.

Magnetic Magnificence

This is a 150-piece magnetic race car track and building block toy set by PicassoTiles. It's an educational construction playset that encourages early STEM learning by mixing artistic skills with science, technology, engineering, and math. And because there are so many pieces, your twins will be able to build to their hearts' content simultaneously without fighting over who gets which block. This set includes a variety of blocks, from curves and turns, to square track tiles, and supporting columns, from rectangular track tiles and triangles, to slopes, speed bumps, and traffic splits, this set comes with endless possibilities for your early engineers. It also comes with 12 street sign posts and four light-up racecars, so each twin can have two cars to experiment their racetracks with.

Supplement your set-up

We already had a set of magnetic building blocks on-hand that our twins loved to build houses and garages with, and when we added the racecar track to the existing set, it took their home-building plans up a notch.

The racecar set has been fantastic fun so far, but I will say, you probably won't be disappointed if you order an extra set of blocks to supplement your set-up because now that we have more pieces available, they're creating city set-ups with roadways that lead to houses and multi-level buildings with parking garages that they can park their vehicles in.

It's gratifying to watch our children have fun while they build their brains and build their structures.
