Here are some ideas for food items that are high in:

  • Antioxidants: Blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries.
  • Fiber: Oats, lentils, and chickpeas.
  • Healthy Fats: Chia seeds, avocado, and eggs.
  • Hydration: Cucumber, celery, and watermelon.
  • Potassium: Avocado, sweet potato, and salmon.
  • Protein: Chicken, tuna, and turkey.
  • Vitamin C: Guava, bell pepper (orange has the highest levels of Vitamin C when compared to red and yellow), and kiwi.

Be sure to keep your school's allergy guidelines / do-not-bring items (e.g., nuts, fish, eggs, etc.) in mind while you're planning lunches and snacks for the week.
