Where we live, it gets downright frigid from early January until the end of February.
We're talkin' lows of -30° C (-22° F), easy, with wind chills that make it feel as glacial outside as -40° C (-40° F).
Even on warmer days, -20° C (-4° F) makes a person feel cold quickly, but when you have two little toddlers who want to burn off some energy like no tomorrow and they want to do it outside in all that glorious snow that just fell, you better believe you're all snow-suiting up and heading outside for some fresh air, no matter how cold it is, even if only for a little while.
Protection from the bitter elements

But, of course, you want to make sure nobody is at risk of getting frostbite when you head outdoors.
Before we dipped into the bitter cold, we had our warm jackets, ski-pants, toques with ear-flaps, mitts, and boots all sorted out, but we didn't have anything to keep the wind from zipping down their necks, and I knew the brutal cold was coming, so I'd been on the hunt for weeks but had come up empty-handed.
With twins, I'd been a little leery of full-blown scarves because I've seen them horsing around in the house…they like to grab at each other as they're running by, and I figured scarves would provide the perfect hand-hold for an unintentional clothes-lining incident.
And then, I finally found what I'd been searching for.
A neckwarmer.
It has no loose ends nor strings for anyone to pull at, its versatile design means you don't have to worry about that sort of additional hazard (let's be serious, there's already enough on any parent's mind when they're trying to make sure two toddlers aren't simultaneously trying to race toward the end of the driveway and oncoming traffic).
Fabulous for frigid weather

These neckwarmers are made of cozy performance fleece and come in three packs, so you've got one for each twin, plus an extra for if one needs to be thrown in the wash (that's right, they're machine-washable), so you can rest easy knowing that your kids can play hard while sledding or throwing snowballs and that they'll stay dry and warm.
With a double-layer design and a four-way stretch fabric that is both freeze- and abrasion-resistant, these neckwarmers are lightweight, stretchy, and super easy to throw over your little ones' heads.

You can pull them up into the wanted position, and there's enough material that you can pull it up to cover their chin, cheeks, nose, and ears on those extra wintry-weather days.
While they're snug, they're not cumbersome, and they're specially designed to be breathable, so you don't have to worry about that, plus, they're soft and gentle against your little ones' delicate skin.
