As a parent, the most important thing is keeping your children safe, whether you're at home or on the road and getting your family from Point A to Point B.
We research and purchase items that we feel are safe, and for the most part, they are.
But, sometimes, products are recalled after additional safety testing is conducted.
This is why it's important to pay attention to product recalls until your kids have outgrown or stopped using certain items.
Evenflo recalls REO car seat models
Evenflo is voluntarily recalling REO car seat models that were sold in the United States and Canada due to a condition identified during recent post-production laboratory testing.
During testing in the forward-facing configuration, it was determined that when the headrest is adjusted to its two highest positions (positions 10 and 11 in forward-facing mode and position 11 in rear-facing mode), the headrest could change position.
To be clear, this issue does not affect the safety or structural integrity of the car seat when the headrest is adjusted to positions one through nine in forward-facing mode and positions one through 10 in rear-facing mode.
No injuries have been reported related to this condition.
Which models are being recalled?
Affected models begin with model number CS26021 and were sold in the United States and Canada between March 2025 and July 2026.
This recall affects the REO models sold in the U.S. and Canada with model numbers beginning with CS26021.
Recalled Model Numbers the United States include:
- CS260212521 (BROOKLINE)
- CS260212522 (LENOX)
- CS260212536 (HOLDEN)
- CS260212537 (NANTUCKET)
- CS260212538 (DANVERS)
- CS260212539 (CHELSEA)
Recalled Model Numbers in Canada include:
- CS260212521C (BROOKLINE)
- CS260212538C (DANVERS)
This recall does not affect any other Evenflo car seat, including the Revolve180, Revolve360, Revolve360 Extend, or Revolve360 Slim models.
How to check your car seat model number
If you own Evenflo REO car seats, you can locate your model number on the product label located on the back of the car seat shell.
You can do so by raising the headrest and rotating the car seat to a side-facing position, then finding the white label with the date of manufacture and model number on the back of the headrest.
If you aren't sure, you can reach out to their consumer care team for help.
Working on a safety fix
While Evenflo works to implement a correction for the problem on affected REO car seats, parents and caregivers can continue using the affected REO car seats IF the headrest is adjusted to positions one through 10 in rear-facing mode or positions one through nine in forward-facing mode.
